09/19/2022 Sydney Auction News | The Number of New Listing Increased 10% in August

The number of new listings listed in August rose by nearly 10 percent from the previous month, a new report shows. With the market booming ahead of the usual spring sales season, potential buyers may have more options. The latest report from real estate data analytics firm, PropTrack, showed there were 9.9% more new listings listed on realestate.com.au in August than in July.

Across all capital cities, the number of new listings increased in August compared to July, with Sydney up 16.1%, Melbourne up 13%, Brisbane up 7.1%, Canberra and the rest of the capital 6.2%; Hobart 17.2%, Darwin 8.1 %, Adelaide 8% and Perth 7.1 %.

Last week’s Sydney auction clearance rate was 62%. There were 664 properties listed for sale, 262 properties were sold, and 110 properties were withdrawn. Moreover, the total clearance rate for state of New South Wale last week was 54%.

According to Realestate.com.au, it was reported 1333 private sales in New South Wales over last week. 232 properties were sold at auction, while 213 were sold prior to auction.
