A three-bedroom unit in Rose Bay has sold for $3.21 million in a cautious and sluggish auction where bidders warily made offers.
Even so, it sold some $210,000 above the reserve to upsizers who outbid three other downsizers for the keys. The property was guided at $2.8 million.
The unit was one of 671 properties scheduled to go under the hammer in Sydney on Saturday. By evening, Domain Group recorded a preliminary auction clearance rate of 61 per cent from 394 reported results, while 108 auctions were withdrawn. Withdrawn auctions are counted as unsold properties when calculating the clearance rate.
