An original condition terrace in Paddington, on offer for the first time in about 70 years, sold for $2,275,000 to builders who plan to give it a new lease of life. The three-bedroom property at 74 Underwood Street had been held in the same family since the 1950s, when it last traded for a mere £1150, according to the family. The property sold within 10 minutes to Paddington builders who planned to renovate the property either to hold as an investment or resell. The reserve was $1.8 million.
Last week’s Sydney auction clearance rate was 69%. There were 681 properties listed for sale, 290 properties were sold, and 91 properties were withdrawn.
